Two years ago, we met master woodworker Mo'taz Hamoush at his studio in Jordan. Mo’taz is a Syrian refugee. His skills were renowned. Then came the civil war. Finally safely at a studio in Amman, Mo’taz treated our viewers to a behind-the-scenes peek at how he makes magnificent furniture with mother-of-pearl and tin-thread accents. On September 28th, Meet Us on the Abraham Path catches up with Turquoise Mountain CEO Shoshana Stewart. We’ll hear about how Turquoise Mountain revives traditional crafts, brings job and income opportunities to small communities through training, education and connection to international markets, and how this work helps preserve cultural heritage under threat.
