Results to Date:
- In November of 2007, 170 people from 16 nations gathered for the first
symbolic walk on the Abraham Path in ancient Harran.
- Brazil's Globo channel broadcasted footage of the walk to over 40 million
viewers.
- Seven diverse and influential Turkish leaders, moved by the Abraham Path,
committed to serve formally on the Turkish Host Committee.
- Through the leadership of the Turkish Host Committee and our burgeoning
network of partner organizations, local and international groups have been
compelled to take a transformative journey on the Abraham Path. Such
groups include the Kellogg Leadership Alliance and the Association of Global
New Thought.
Objectives for 2009
- Complete the delineation and basic infrastructure of the initial 150 km segment of the path between Sanliurfa and Harran by the end of 2009.
- Identify, maintain, and strengthen relationships with strategic partners in
the Turkish government, non-profit, university, press and tourism sectors.
- Launch youth exchanges on the Abraham Path through universities in
Turkey and the United States.
- Identify community cultural and historic sites for restoration.
