The Abraham Path is a long-distance walking trail across the Middle East. The path retraces the cultural memory of the journey of Abraham and his family and celebrates its story of hospitality and kindness to strangers. The path is a work in progress, literally growing step by step in various sections throughout the Middle East which presently make up over 400km of trail with local guiding and community hospitality along the way.

For the time being, API advises against all travel south of the Urfa-Mardin highway and in the city of Urfa.
